Welcome to the Farm!

My name is Chantal, I am a first generation farmer situated on a quarter section an hour south of Saskatoon. As a child I was a certified barn rat, and although I didnt grow up on the farm I sure got there as fast as I could. 

I am originally from South Western Ontario and moved west for big skies and to raise my family on the land.

So pack up and move we did.  1 truck and trailer, a school bus full and a cattle pod full of animals later we made it home.

We left nobody behind, every cow, sheep, chicken and horse made the journey with us.

Not long after our feet hit Saskatchewan dirt did we start to learn the lessons of the prairies and what it would be like to raise mixed livestock and 2 young kids in a challenging environment.

This would also be when I first met Tenielle from Rottwood. 

We connected over goats, she was looking and I was selling!

It was clear from the beginning that although we had grown up in completely different situations, we are cut from the same cloth.

Sometimes family are the friends you make along the way.

We share the same values in our homes, how to raise our children, practices in farming and working hard to live the slow life (neither of us have figured out how to slow down though)

The Prairie Farm Stand was born with the idea that, maybe we can offer more if we join forces.

We have been working together to raise many types of livestock, meats, eggs and other wares for years so this move just works.
Here at Future Traditions Farm I specialize in poultry, chickens both laying and meat birds, as well as specialty/bantam breeds, quail, turkeys & guinea fowl.
I always have stock for both hatching and eating eggs and will be working with some well known businesses in both Saskatoon and Regina to do chick days in 2026. Stay tuned and keep an eye on the website for more information about live chicks!
I also have a love and passion for jersey cows, for preserving the breed and all things dairy. I have a small herd of purebred jerseys, I am a closed and classifying herd.
I do have a wait list for heifer calves and family cows, feel free to enquire for more information or to get on the list!
Aswell as my dairy cows I also have a very small herd of purebred Nubian goats. I am a clean tested/classified herd and work with some of the best genetics in the industry. I will be kidding does in June and July this year please feel free to enquire about milking goats!
Every year I raise a small number of pasture raised and milk fed pigs, look for the option to reserve coming in the spring.
Pastured raised lamb is very, very limited quantities. I only raise a handful of lambs every year.
Last but certainly not least is the equestrian side of my farm.
I have been an avid equestrian for almost 30 years.
This year I will be standing my young AQHA stallion SuDan Smoke n Spark. If you are looking for a stud that will give babies beautiful hips and stellar minds, this is your guy. I will be making him his own stud page shortly, please check back soon!
